Roof Ventilation

Having Roof Vents / Whirlybirds installed in your house is necessary in order for your roof to function properly. The two main functions of the Roof Vent is:

1. Summer
To clear out the hot in your roof space caused by direct sunlight.
FACT- Your roof space can actually get up 60 degrees in temperature, causing insulation to become less effective and air conditioners to work much harder.

2. Winter
To draw the moisture out of your ceiling area caused by the running of bathroom and stove exhaust fans.
FACT-your roof space can actually accumulate over ten litres of water through condensation, creating stains on interior walls and ceilings.

Other important benefits of having roof vents installed on your roofs are that they operate absolutely free, saving you on electricity bills. By lowering the power consumed by airconditioners, you are also limiting green house emisions.

Our Roof Restoration Process

Pressure Clean

First your roof is cleaned using at least 3000 psi of pressure to remove dirt, grime and moss build up in preparation for painting.

Bed and Pointed

Your ridges, valleys and gables are then Re-Bedded where any unstable cement is present and fully Re-Pointed using an acrylic flexible pointing compound (as per Australian standards on new roofs). It is also recommended that we change any rusted valley irons at this point.

Tiles changed and valley renewed

Next up we replace all your broken tiles. Your roof is blown down and your gutters are cleaned. We then install your complimentary roof ventilator.

Sealing and Painting

We then prime your roof with a high quality primer so that the paint will adhere to the tiles with the strongest possible bond.
 We then spray 2 to 4 coats of Nutech arcrylic roof paint depending on the condition of the tiles and of our clients choice, whilst allowing about an hour to dry in between applications.

We then spend as much time as it takes to make sure you and your neighbours properties are left clean and tidy.

A big thank you for a great job the roof looks excellent and we are so glad we choose the Cool Max, we have tested the temperature without Air Conditioning and the house feels cooler, we noticed we didn't require the Air Conditioner even when it was 30C. The colour charcoal was great choice and as you said it wasn't too shinny, thanks for all the advice and we would certainly recommend this company as a professional well run business, Phil and staff were polite and professional, with 40 squares of a lovely new roof it was money well spent.
